		The Revolución record launch party took place last April at the Plaza Theatre in Montreal. More than 150 persons showed up to welcome Eric Khayat’s first solo album.

		For the last fifteen years, Eric Khayat has worked as a sideman for more than a hundred artists either on stage or in studio. He has arranged, composed, directed and produced hundreds of songs in many different styles. Eric Khayat is a creator who is pushing the envelope with passion. His curiosity about life leads him to evolve, to never stay at the same level. Through his years of experience, Eric has developed a rich and unique style which resonates with his love for music.

	Revolución proposes 7 compositions that draw their influence from a long trip in Cuba. Like musical postcards, they relate the emotions and impressions that I experienced during my trip. All the pieces have been composed over a three-month period; some in Cuba, others when I returned home to Montreal.
